More About the Author

I like to believe I am the person my dogs think I am.

I phone my parents every day, as they are elderly and adorable, and they read me stories every day of my freakishly normal childhood. I was a writer before I learned to read, by creating scribbles on paper and dictating the stories to my saintly mother. You can see examples here: https://plus.google.com/u/1/photos/104585203815605467940/albums/5587379107269629729?banner=pwa&partnerid=pwrd1.

Untold eons later, I still read and write everyday and I've gotten very good at it. I live in a ridiculously gorgeous place in the world--an island in Puget Sound, Washington where we have a lot of the same flowers you grow in the UK. But bigger slugs. Much bigger slugs.

I have lots more to tell you, so please join me on Facebook and check out pictures of my dogs and tell me what's on your mind. https://www.facebook.com/susanwiggs

The Lakeshore Chronicles has been a really engaging series and this instalment featuring another branch of the Bellamy family visiting Avalon was just as enjoyable. The only very minor disappointment for me was I felt the ending was a little rushed. Otherwise another great read, exploring relationships and catching up with previous characters from the series.

I recommend reading the Lakeshore Chronicles from Book 1. You will become so involved and interested in all the beautifully drawn characters that you will find it difficult to wait to find out how their lives develop. The characters lives are skillfully interwoven and Susan Wiggs' books are so difficult to put down. Another winner. Highly recommended.

This book shows the true meaning of family and that life is too short to hold grudges. Linking in with two lost soles that need each other to become complete. This aside it was nice to have all the Bellamy glam together to fill in the blanks from the other books. Very good read

I've read most of the Lakeshore Chronicles and was not disappointed with this one. It makes you feel like you're there... sounds such a beautiful place. Always a good story line... looking forward to reading the rest of the set.

Although I am a man I have enjoyed all Susan wigs "The Lakeshore Chronicles" series and the Summer Hideaway was no exception. A great story line and sympathetic to the life/death of the main character.
