Product Description

The Suited Monk Lives within All of Us - an Empowering New Book on Life Purpose, Happiness and Self-Discovery.

A candid narrative account of the author's life-altering breakthrough from a troubled childhood in Belgium - to pursuing his career in China to become a successful business man in his mid-20's - to struggling with ongoing acute dissatisfaction in all aspects of his life which resulted to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ burn-out by 24 years old.

Although Raf had been successful in business at a young age, he started to pursue a new career with more happiness, meaning and purpose just two months before the global financial downturn. The timing and transition was tough, but at this time an inner-voice called upon Raf to simply 'follow-his-heart', whereby he experienced a spontaneous life changing 'awakening' which revealed to him the essence of what 'life' is all about - which is the basis of this book.

By learning to synthesize one's inner heart-felt intuition of happiness, love, purpose, meaning and life-force (the Monk), with the external world of success and achievement (the Suit) in both professional and personal relationships - you can be rewarded with life's abundance of the internal and external worlds being a 'Suited Monk' - experiencing joy, love, health and wisdom, continuously attracting ongoing good fortune, and finding inner peace- minimizing and/or avoiding the ego-driven baggage apparent in sickness, anxiety, fear, negativity, guilt, professional stress burn out, youth suicide and middle age depression.

Raf's step-by-step guide of The Life Journey and GAP ® visual models he developed from his personal experience and time-honored wisdom, promises the reader to easily identify and discover their own life path and explore pertinent self-questioning paradigms such as 'what is my purpose in life' - 'how can I live a truly fulfilling life, and also have a happy and satisfying career' - or more simply 'how can I get a peaceful night sleep' - resulting in a healthy and strong inner-peace feeling every single day, for your entire life.

Excerpt from Book-

"The Suited Monk is a book for NOW. Raf's distinctive, easy to read narrative captures the essence of "the truth" contained in the ancient spiritual traditions in a way that's relevant for today. This is a must read for all Suited Monks and Nuns on "Life's Journey"

Matthew Chapple

"Raf is a remarkable and unusual man - his vision and sight is clear - it has been my privilege to journey with Raf after our first meeting two years ago - if you are wanting to think about changing yourself and your life journey, then read on...."

Dr. Mike Thompson
Professor of Management Practice - China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)

"Everyone who wants to enjoy life to the fulliest should read The Suited Monk. Raf's Life Journey Model is a simple yet brilliant framework to help us understand why joy is not deducted from material wealth and we should strive for inner peace and happiness. Reading The Suited Monk, I rapidly identified my own journey to bridge the gap between the inner and external world, which I will now accelerate to the fulliest. Raf is a hero who will continue to affect positively the lives of his readers"

Former President Asia at Agfa (Graphics)

Original and in honest, this book captures the Life Journey workshop perfectly and is highly recommended as separate reading or as complimentary follow up to one of Raf's workshops.
I found this book so helpful (Simple language and model, to a complex topic, easy to read, truly a knowledgeable book) that I have already recommended numerous to both read the book and participate the workshop.

Chairman of the Danish Chamber of Commerce South China

It's easy to find yourself looking back over your life and realising that the amount of time you have been really happy is minimal! We can all recognise the main events in our lives which gave us joy but this book by Raf Adams aims to teach the average person that you can teach yourself to be happy rather than relying on outside influences. Raf Adams gives an emotional yet concise account of his life so far and how other people and outside situations effected his levels of happiness. When enlightenment struck him he then went on to develop a life model based on his own experiences to teach others the way forward.

It's an inspiring and emotive book which gives hope to everyone who wants more out of their lives but has no idea where to begin.

Author takes a complex topic and simplifies it! 17 Jan 2012
By Mrs.G - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I was always looking for a great book to understand about the life. Some books were too abstract or conceptual to read and understand so I felt quite bored to read through, or understand what the author tried to say. But I felt this book is very different. It also shows from the life experience of the author, who lives normal life as all of us, and the conceptual topic of the life is explained through the story/examples from our daily life. It is very FRESH.

From Meaningless to Happiness 13 Jan 2012
By paula - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
The author explains that our inner world is where you find happiness. Our outer world brings us suffering. The life journey model explains where and how we go astray. The author explains how, once we have strayed deep into our external world we can find our way back to our inner world a place that is far removed from the emptiness and sadness of our external worlds and back to happiness and peace. The author has travelled this path from a life of meaningless goals to a life of true love, true purpose and true strength and speaks in a clear voice regarding how he accomplished this monumental feat.

Bridge the Gap 13 Jan 2012
By Corey - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I picked up this book because I was interested in learning how to bridge the "gap" between our day in/day out lives and a life with true meaning. I have read many books with Buddhism style advice but very few of these books describe the specifics or `how to' of this type of life. This book does a great job of giving you this information. The author does a good job of explaining how you can discover more about your inner world (the place where you find happiness) and also does a great job of explaining how your external world gets in the way of your inner world. The gap that I mentioned earlier is the place where we are disconnected and focused on our outer self. The main message and value in this book is the advice that the author gives on how you bridge this gap.
