Sorry, but I found it a struggle to read what little I did and had to give up. Even after skipping a few chapters, it didn't do anything for me.

Not a great deal going for this I'm afraid. The main character didn't evoke any sympathy or empathy with me & the addition of a Jar-Jar Binks type character was the last straw (of many) in this book. I didn't enjoy the third of the book that I read & couldn't read past that.

HASH(0x8cc46984) out of 5 stars The Strike Trilogy 10 Dec. 2014

This book wasn't that good(even though author was very creative). I stopped in the middle of the third book, because there was a lot of cussing, and inappropriate content. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone

HASH(0x8ce50a68) out of 5 stars Fun, moving, exciting 25 Feb. 2014

At first, I wasn't quite sure what I'd gotten myself into with this tale; it starts off like an out-of-control roller coaster and takes you on a ride involving bizarre creatures and locales that leave you asking "What the heck was that?" As your head whips 'round trying to catch a glimpse of them. But the characters are fascinating, and you actually connect with them--even the villains, for all their madness--and begin very quickly to care what happens to them.

The story is funny, and charming, and full of gripping action. Once I got to about the second chapter (which isn't all that far), I found I couldn't put the damned thing down.

And that doesn't happen to me very often.
HASH(0x8ce55b94) out of 5 stars Like a Saturday morning cartoon turned into a novel. 3 Oct. 2014

It's OK but definitely written for younger readers. I didn't finish it because I found it too juvenile for my tastes. Characters, dialogue, the world, everything was very shallow. The best way I could describe it is to imagine taking a Saturday morning cartoon like Pokémon or something similar and trying to make it into a novel. If you like that kind of thing then you might enjoy this book. But if you want something a little more mature, complex and well developed then I'd suggest passing.

HASH(0x8cc46834) out of 5 stars Superhero or what 5 April 2014

Strictly young adult fair. Story has too much holes in it, lots of big jumps in logic, struggled to appreciate the characters.
