5.0 out of 5 stars Great series. 7 Sep 2009
The Sreets of San Francisco is one of the best TV cops and robbers series ever made. Superb acting by Carl Malden and Michael Douglas. Had Carl Malden been British he would certainly have got a Knighthood. Although a serious program the banter between the two lead characters is really good and quite funny. The quality is outstanding, it looks as good as anything made in the last ten years, in fact its better than some. Support actors are the very best of the priod. I cant fault the series in any way so it gets full marks from me. If you are dithering, then dont, buy and enjoy, you will be glad you did. I cant wait for them to release season 3 vol 1. I want only 4 of the five seasons because Michael Douglas isnt in the final series. I think they killed him off, because Michael wanted film parts, and the series tied him up. Cant blame him, he went on to do some great blockbusters.

5.0 out of 5 stars The streets of San-Francisco series 2 14 April 2011
By Smurf
I really liked this series. I was hoping that it would live up to what i remembered from when i first watched the series in the 1970s and it did. Great memories.

3.0 out of 5 stars Information concerning foreign languages 18 May 2010
A certainly useful information for buyers who speculate for German language is that these discs do not contain German for the most although the back cover mentions German. However, French is included. Even any German subtitles are missing.
Interestingly, all of the discs have the German age rating emblem.

Two questions to Paramount/CBS: Why does this box set's back cover have wrong product information and why does a half season box set in Germany cost as much as a complete season in the UK?

Irrespective of this fact, this series is excellent and a remastered picture quality like this is very appreciated.
