It is rather difficult to envisage the set of circumstances that would make a lighting cameraman actually choose to light any presenter from below, let alone a presenter as inherently unattractive as Rob Andrew. However, one can only guess why, because in this flimsy dvd, Rob Andrew is given the Hammer House treatment over and over.

With shadows running up his face, and looking just to one side of the camera lens, one is totally distracted (wow - he actually has quite a squint!) from what is being said during the talky bits, which perhaps is a good thing as his delivery is really pretty wooden. Indeed, given the choice between a decade of rugby analysed by him, or a couple of pieces of pine and a tin of paint, I would be B & Q bound pretty damn fast.

That is not to say that the action is flawlessly chosen - there seems to be a distinct bent towards the southern hemisphere and England. Much is made of England's fantastic victories in the Five and Six Nations, whilst virtually nothing is mentioned of the other nations - except of course Wales because slightly awkwardly they have to be mentioned as they were the best nation by far for 10 years. Now tell me this, how can England be so pleased with their recent victories over the other home nations, whilst at the same time making out that their oponants were hardly worth a mention? Doesn't say much for their victories does it? What has crept in here is a smugness about English supremacy. Rob Andrew is shown time and again slotting boring kicks through the posts - yes he was quite good at that in his day, whilst Gavin Hastings, Andy Irvine and Mike Gibson are not even mentioned once!

A shockingly one sided attempt at a great subject - another opportunity missed - and one heck of a poor presenter add up to (it seems) a really poor rugby dvd by current standards. Sad really. I miss Bill McLaren. Lots.

This is not your typical fitness video as it does not follow a watch and copy format.

What this video actually provides is a good fitness programme designed by sports scientists with a lot of good technical information regarding weight training, diet, motivation, time management etc.

I followed this programme and went from being a podgy 13 1/2 st wheezing retired rugby player to a more svelte 12 stone athlete in only 12 weeks and I even I even managed to do a short course triathlon after finishing the programme.

I highly recommend this video, it has some excellent advice and is not the usual crappy celebrity fitness aerobics watch and follow which is usual served up with this genre of video.
