whilst perusing the shelves at the local bookstore for a new book for my little sisters bedtime. i spotted in the darkest recesses of the shop a colourful front cover and decided to give it a go... so at the first bedtime i started the book and read the first three sttories, and the story running through, i finished the book today, and my extremely fussy sister asked me to read it again. i think that will give you all the reassurance you need!

This book is one of the best books I have ever read! Children everywhere can enjoy it. The whole family would even enjoy reading this one and its a perfect bedtime story. Brian Pattern really captured me and I couldn't put the book down. The end has a surprising but beautiful twist and the ending passage made me want to cry.This book has funny, sad and surprising bits. Once you have read it you will feal refreshed and inspired.

This is a great teaching resource. You can either read the book as a class novel, from start to end, or dip into it and pick out stories to suit your lesson theme. I have use the book with P3 to P7 children and it has been well received by all. The short philosophical stories are based on old tales but are retold with a twist. Through them children learn about moral values and being a responsible citizen. A fabulous book for circle time discussions.
