This is a great set of really enjoyable movies. If you buy this, you will be vastly entertained. That simple.

I love most of Steven Seagal's films, and this box set includes some of his best works. Why then only 1 star?
What makes this box set so UNattractive is the fact that Warner did not bother to resubmit UNDER SIEGE 1 & 2 as well as NICO (ABOVE THE LAW) EXECUTIVE DECISION and GLIMMER MAN to the BBFC for a rerating. All five films would without a doubt pass uncut with an 18 Certificate nowadays. But no, Warner included the same versions that were released previously.
Sorry but I'm taking 4 stars off the rating I'd give if it were uncut.
Anyone who doesn't give a damn whether it's censored or not: please add four stars to my rating, run out and buy it now!

Let us consider Mr Steven Seagal as an action star for one moment, a task which asks us not to comment on the quality of his movies but on his inhuman ability to kick the hell out of any other cast member ever featured in almost all of his movies.

Seagal's films are fun. The reason for this is the forgone conclusion that Seagal's character will far exceed the abilities of any other character, but what makes it silly is that none of the other characters ever manage to realise this until... well until its far too late.

Yes the plots are terrible and almost always revolve around Mr Seagal getting a tiny bit annoyed at the enemy, who will then kidnap or kill someone close to him (generally his daughter) at which point Seagal will be very mad and proceed to maim, wound and explode his way to the obvious conclusion of the movie.

So if you want to see numerous explosions, an increasingly overweight man with a huge face and chiselled features perform outrageous martial arts, and a happy collection of typically cheap one liners then buy this Steven Seagal box set and proudly never let them leave your DVD player.

Alternativly if you're expecting a serious movie then forget it.

I love this man
For those of you out there looking to buy a Steven Seagal boxset, this is great. All of his "best" movies in one place. I'm not being sarcastic here, I love these movies. Read more

Like other reviewers I too was dissapointed by the odd bit of cencorship.
However, Segal's brilliant performance outweighs any other considerations. Read more

This is how you make your boxset better
I recieved this boxset comprised mostly of Seagals amazing early work and have made it better. This is what you do. Remove 'Exit Wounds' and 'Executive Decision' from the boxset. Read more

YES PLEASE. A Hell of a showcase
First off, I am a stick-in-the-mud fan of Steven Seagal and all of his movies, bar none. Even executive decision where he gets killed off only a third of the way through. Read more

Rise and fall of a martial artist
As the title says, this compilation shows the decay of Mr. Seagal that, in the last productions, is the shadow of himself (especially looking at his best movie: Nico). Read more
