This book is about Tasha, a girl who is obsessed with spies and even thinks she is one herself. She tells us about one of her adventures when she was caught digging up the local dentists garden because she thought that his wife had been murdered and buried there. Everybody thinks that she is a big joke until one night she spots a boy outside her house hiding behind a tree writing things in his note pad, spying. She decides to observe his actions to see if what she's seeing is what it means. During hiding the boy has an accident and accidentally mixes his and hers note book. After returning home she realises what has happened and is surprised with the note book's contents. She secretly contacts him and arranges a meeting at her house to change back. This isn't enough for Tasha. She tries to figure out who he really is and finds out he's a boy called Henry, a teenage spy who was sent on a mission to capture an evil baddie - Mr Massingham. He says that he has been spying on the Baxters the co-workers of Mr Massingham and that her room is a perfect surveillance point. At first Tasha is excited and believes his every word but her doubts grow as time goes on. All her friends say it's a prank so she decides to find out for herself. She goes to the Baxter's and says that Mr Massingham was here and asked about them when they weren't at home, a total lie. The Baxters panic and try to warn off Tasha. She realises a grey Volvo is following her so she asks her best friend Julia to dress up as her and see if anything happens. This is a big mistake. Julia is kidnapped.
I do not recommend this book to anyone over 10.
