After the first two Movement compilations, which were both excellent, I was eager to hear what this would be like. I have always admired Bryan Gee as a DJ, as he has consistently been among the first to break new and daring drum'n'bass tracks over the years. He's never been the tightest mixer, though, and as this is mixed 100% live ( which again, has to be admired), a couple of the mixes are a little bumpy. Perhaps he can't be blamed for being a little shoddy, though, as there are a whopping 22 tracks over the course of this 73 minute CD, and at points, tunes are rinsed in and out of the mix in bewilderingly quick time. Regarding the tunes, well they range from the sublime (MIST and High Contrast "3am", DJ Marky and XRS Land "Moments of Lust") to the ridiculous ("No no no" by Ray Keith is a real turkey). So as ever, a fearlessly up-front tune selection from Bryan; just that some of them are not up to scratch. Still an entertaining listen though and if you want a glimpse of where d'n'b is in 2003, you could do far worse.

Hello.

Basically, the selection on this album is very nice and it's packed full of some cracking tunes. You'd expect that, cos movement is a high quality label with some great choons to their name, but why would Bryan Gee want to mix an album live??? DJ Marky did it on The Brazilian Job (the previous movement mix album) but Marky is one of the best DJs in the world and Bryan Gee, well, isn't.

The mixing on this album is not very good at all, but at least it's consitent!

If you're thinking about buying this and you haven't got The Brazilian Job, then just buy that one instead and then never spare a thought for Bryan Gee's rubbish mixing again.

The Movement crew have certainly delivered again. After the amazing Brazilian job, which helped catapult Marky into the limelight, along comes this compilation cd, which simply defies all superlatives. The calibre of the tunes on display is breathtaking and monumental. It both serves as a gateway to necomers to the scene, whilst higlighting the thriving nature of the current d&b sound.
Tracks such as 'Warning' and 'Moments of Lust' will definitely set the pulse racing, although my personal favourite is Barcelona, augmented by the dulcet tones of Cleveland Watkiss.
I highly recommend this album, so please enjoy

This album just proves how big drum&bass still is and is in no danger of fading out. Live mixed tracks by the man Bryan Gee shows how it's really done, every track proving why it's on this collaboration. My personal favourites are both of the Roni Size tracks number 1 & 5, with some wicked bass-line melodies and pounding beats, you know you want this turned up in your car with them windows down! For an underpriced £8.99, this is a steal for all you Drum & Bass worshippers out there. Go get this album, you'll thank yourselves and me for it!

Excellent mix CD from Bryan Gee and a must have for any drum and bass headz. The quality remains constant throughout the mix which is to be expected as the line up of artists who have contributed the tunes reads like a 'who's who' of the drum and bass scene. It is pretty difficult to pick out the highlights but listen out for the opening tune 'Trust Me (remix)' by Roni Size, 'The Warning' by Dillinja, and the High Contrast remix of 'Barcelona'.

This CD dives in with a few heavy rollers, but lightens from track 3am onwards. It has some fun Willy Wonka samples and the variation in sound are used to really layer this album up. I've listened to it a million times and it's still wicked-fun.
The other Movement album with Ray Keith is far less interesting, I'm afraid. Check-out the mix by DJ Marky on Movement.
