Not her best 3 Jan 2010
By a customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
i am a big admirer and enjoyer of "jetsun mila" and "trilogie de la mort" which both deal with similar concepts, however they do so without the spoken word

the lama on this album sound OK but robert ashley sounds terrible. note: i have no idea who he is and don't really care - he sounds like he has a cold and his voice ruins the recording. picture it - somber, eerie electronic sounds pulsating in the background, and someone with a cold and goofy accent poorly translating the melodic singsong style narrations of a tibetan monk

it comes off as a bit of a joke ... she should have had someone with a more serious voice recite

better yet ... get rid of the voices all together and let's hear the pure electronics like her other albums which are wonderfully dark and meditative, like the vibration of a monk's dark retreat room
