Engaging and Informative 18 Dec 2011
By Lopa S. Jhaveri - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I am a Senior Financial Analyst working for a major energy company. I am a non-technology/marketing background person. I had heard about social media, used Facebook a bit but did know how it could be used for business. I found this book truly engaging and very informative! It reads like a story and wants you to get to the next page/chapter to know more. It provided clear comparisons and differentiations between traditional methods and strategies involving Social Media as a resource in impacting business. It has very good illustrations. Interesting analogies have been deployed throughout the book. The book gives a perception of being fun and stylish.
Thoughtful analysis of social media relevance for business 2 Jan 2012
By DeBella - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book does a great job of looking at the role and relevance of social media throughout a business way beyond just marketing. Many perceive social media as a consumer thing that may not be relevant or deliver tangible results for business. This book gives a easily understood view of the history and aspects of social media and then breaks down how they can apply to different aspects of a business from marketing to product development to customer support. Particularly useful are the case studies included and also a chapter dedicated to setting and measuring metrics for social media programs.
A compelling vision of how social media will transform business 2 Jan 2012
By ValKat - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book makes it very easy to understand what social media is and how it can help businesses. Generally, I am skeptical about social media -- in business and in my personal life. "The Social Resource" offers a compelling vision of why social media may in fact play a critical role in society, especially in the business world, in the near future."
