Everyone has a conspiracy theory, helped along by the fact that nobody else has a clue what they're talking about. Hence "Burt Reynolds is a secret spy working for Thatcher, and has a license to kill. FACT!" is generally met with a few bemused nods, and some doofus muttering, "Yes, I've heard that as well." And, as Burt Reynolds is never around when you need him, there's a very real chance that, when repeated enough times in the pub, the lie will become - in the drink-soaked minds of the regulars, anyway - a reality. Praise be then for this mine of information. You would think that asking the FBI for detailed statements and confidential reports on past events would result in a sudden, inexplicable jail sentence, but, amazingly, the smoking team has managed to gain access to all manner of nonsense. Mike Tyson's psychological reports are here, as are hugh grants arrest papers, extraordinary requests from musicians when staying at hotels and enough sexual details to make Hollywood blush. The truth is out there, and it's all yours for under a tenner.
