I started this book three times. I think you need some quality time to get into it. Once I had got to the third chapter I couldn't put it down. It has everything you could wish for in a good read. The emotions throughout the book were powerful, you really felt every character was alive and at times you can imagine very vividly being in the different places.

Having read previous Nicholas Evans books and especially loving 'The Loop', i was really looking forward to reading this book. However, i found the book did not live up to my expectations and was bit of a disappointment.
The first ten chapters where Nicholas Evans establishes the characters are great but the rest of the book i found the be slow and in some ways slightly repeative.
However, if you are a fan of Nicholas Evans do read the book, if not and are thinking about buying one of his book, buy 'The Loop'.

Appalling
This was one of the worst books I've ever read. It's cram full of the most trivial and cliched text I've ever come across. Read more
