Sin just got worse in the original city of sin... 3 May 2003
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
A string of high-rise murders in the city of original sin unites two seasoned cops, "Catcher and Lou" on a convoluted trail of murder, deception and betrayal in the first degree.

This arresting, creative journey takes the Las Vegas P.D. through the darker side of the unthinkable disjointed human behavior. At times, it is so vile that the reader is forced to put down the novel to avoid third degree burns of their eyes...and most certainly their imagination.

In Kaatz's first attempt as a mystery crime writer, she juggles mystery and crime with just enough curve balls in all the right places to keep you begging for a prequel!

With one fast ball after another, the reader is quickly struck out without a clue as to the real identity of the killer. This homicidal psychopath has all the right curves in all the right places...if you know what I mean?

Kaatz quickly brings the graphic perversion of this killer into clear focus, or should I say... into the light. The unsuspected twists leave the detectives to question what is really black and white within their own department. It certainly made this reader re-evaluate eating by candlelight ever again.

High on adjectives, light on verbs, this tale of seductive mystery, scalding misery, and mental abuse will keep you hiding from the novel. Not your average whodunit!

I doubt that any of the characters in this book will live happily ever after...

I smell a prequel, I hope!!!

Great story 14 Jun 2004

Good story with vivid characters. The heros are real and the setting of Las Vegas filled with excitement. Keeps you on your toes trying to figure out who did it! Couldn't put it down. I look forward to the next book with the same detectives.
A book you hated to put down!!! 16 Jun 2003

This book kept me in suspense and kept me guessing until the end.
I loved it and hope everyone gets the chance to read it. I see good things for this author and would even like to see a movie made from this book - that would be the greatest!!!
