I latched onto Ian Siegal a little while ago and immediately raided all his best doownloads and recommend that you do too. This album ( The skinny ) I decided to get as a cd as I wanted a good copy for my MP3 disc player in my car too. This sort of torn and frayed Southern rock is right up my street as you can still feel the 'rockabilly','r n b' and 'blues' influences all mixed together in a savoury swamp of fecund, potent ,sound. 'The Young Sons' are the band that Ian is playing with on this album and they marry up with Ians style very well. I give this album 4 stars as there is a bit of raunch missing here which drew me to Ian Siegal in the first place.Having stated that, this album is real good and holds that Southern States rock magic that no other people on Earth can emulate.
