This is a highly readable and gripping thriller which moves along at a great pace. Highly recommended. The only thing I found less convincing (and the only reason I thought it deserved four stars rather than five) was the wider international aspect. But the Irish/British angles were extremely good; and the crossing itself was as dramatic as any thriller writing I can remember. In that respect, at least as good as Le Carre. If you're looking for a thriller, look no further.

A taut and exciting thriller from a great new Irish writer. Set in the world of post-cold war spying.

Eion Macnamee's book is superb. Reminiscent of early Len Deighton , "The Sirius Crossing" cracks along at a terrific pace and never lets up. It is warm, humane, exciting and utterly compelling. A truly inspiring book.
