This is a HUGELY fun and very entertaining book.
The Seven Sins which most in the audience will recognize are Elitism, Conceit, Egotism,, Dogmatism, Ignorance, Incompetence and Profligacy, plus there are chapters on Greenwash and Pastiche.
Anyone who has been an architect or used one will easily recognise one or more situations.
Perhaps the one line that I so appreciated was in Robert Adam's first for The Third Sin Egotism: "How can you spot a genius when you see one? There aren't many about so eliminating non-geniuses is a good start." That really hit home with me, because the term genius is way, way overused.
I have only known three geniuses in my lifetime. One was a Nobel Laureate, another won an equivalent award from the same Institute. The third was a British literary scholar who had an amazing, 50+ year career.
This is a great little tome which Robert has packed a lot of fun into.
