Choose from popular dog and cat breeds like Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Persians, and Siamese or customize their appearance and personality to create a unique pet for your Sim to raise as one of the family. Your Sims will enjoy teaching their pets tricks, taking them to the park, caring for them, and outfitting them with new accessories. On GBA you're entering the town of Barkersville, where everybody in town is crazy about pets! As a brand-new member of the community, nothing will help your Sim fit in faster than adopting a feisty fido or cuddly kitty. Run a pet daycare centre, collect exotic pets, or play with furry friends in the park, downtown, or at home.

Great value for money 16 Feb 2007
Fun:
If you're after excitement, the Sims games are not for you. But then you would probably be playing on an Xbox or PSP rather than a GBA anyway! As the title says, I think this game is great value. What with the price of GBA games coming down, I got this for around £15, and it provides many, MANY hours of gameplay. My favourite thing about this game is that you can pick it up, play a bit, and save at any point. Being a student (and someone who therefore shouldn't be wasting time playing games!), I don't have time to play games where I can't save until I've completed a long level. With this game, you are given little tasks to do by other Sims, which don't take long. Or you can work towards the larger tasks, such as saving up Simoleons to buy something, saving at any time, and coming back to it another day. I wouldn't recommend this game for children under about 10, as they would probably get bored with it, but I've been playing the Sims since I was about 13, on both computer and GBA, and I would say it is perfect the teenage age range.

Fun:
Having bought the DS version of the Sims pets I was bitterly disappointed, where was the gameplay and storyline that had existed in the first few Sims games released on the GBA? (ok I know that this is for a different format but you would expect it to be better than its previous model). Well The Sims 2 Pets for the GBA has all of the gameplay that the early games had. You begin the game very poor but gradually earn Simoleons by walking dogs and then you are able to afford to buy your own pet. There are various jobs which you must do within the game to earn extra money and also to improve your status. As well as working to pay your rent you must train your pet in various skills and tricks so that you and your fur ball can become the town, the world and the universe's best animal trainer.

The gameplay is very long. I have been playing it for nearly a month and am only 88% of the way though. There are mulitple errands to do for various characters in the game aswell as the usual narrative involving them.

I am playing this on my GBA Micro so I cannot comment to well on the graphics. I do though feel that this is a great game with a wide and varied gameplay.

Not great. 19 Dec 2011

Played on it for a day. Got insanely bored, and i am a HUGE fan of The Sims products.

This is a boring and complicated game with poor graphics.

Buy The Sims Bustin' Out or The Urbz instead, if you haven't done so already!
