In the words of Homer: Fan-fugu-tastic, this book doesn't just have episode guides, it has every thing you want right down to the last detail. For example it has a character profile for every Simpsons character imaginable even barts old girlfriend that he had who was Laura Powers for you non-hardcore fans, some Simpsons fans it has too many pictures to fill up the blank gaps but if you took away the pictures you would lose part of the enjoyment of looking at it. If you are going to buy a book of this type you should buy the official one NOT the unofficial one, although the unofficial book is good (what simpsons merchandise isn't)it doesn't have the fun of a real Simpsons book. Give the author (not Matt Groening) some credit by buying his book!

This book has all the information there is for every single episode of the entire first 8 series. Although it covers hundreds of episodes of our favourite family, each episode is completely covered, including telling the plot, parts of the scripts, quotes from characters and things you almost certainly would have missed. It is amazing to see how many things they put in those shows without anyone realising!! Definetly one of the best books i have read.

I'm 54 and I think this is the best book ever. My son was given this accumulation of script extracts for Christmas some time ago. Unlike most TV spin-offs this is a nugget of 100% pure gold. Reading it reveals why The Simpsons is the greatest TV show in recent times. (I'm not counting Seargent Bilko as recent) Much of the script is made funny by the cartoon characters' delivery rather than the words. Much of it is cutting insight rather than humour - like the dentist's warning about ending up with an 'English smile' to the lad who didn't want his teeth treated.

The Simpsons guide is....um....really....um....great!!
When most people watch a Simpsons episode, they just watch for the usual gags, like Marge grumbling, Bart saying "Don't have a Cow!" and Homer saying "Doh! Read more
