Eight more animated escapades with Springfield's finest. In 'Faith Off', Bart becomes a child evangelist when Homer crashes the family car in the middle of a revival meeting, while 'The Homer They Fall' sees the balding one showing he's a real heavyweight after Mo discovers that he can really take a punch. In 'Lisa on Ice', Lisa turns goalie in order to improve her gym class grade from 'F', and 'Dancin' Homer' features a tale of degradation, baseball, Mancini and a trip to the Windy Apple itself - Capital City. In 'Homer vs Dignity', Mr Burns gives a cash-hungry Homer a promotion - but Homer is dismayed to discover that Burns wants him to be his clown and 'prank monkey', perform degrading stunts to keep him amused. Burns eventually fires him, and Homer ends up becoming a Santa in a department store. In 'Skinner's Sense of Snow', a blizzard traps Skinner and Groundskeeper Willie with an assortment of students at Springfield Elementary. When Homer and Flanders set out to rescue the kids, they get stranded in a snow bank. In 'Dude, Where's My Ranch?', the family go out carol singing - only to find out from a lawyer that the carol they are singing is copyrighted and they have to pay royalties on it. Unfazed, Homer decides to write his own carol. David Byrne lends his voice to the proceedings. Finally, in 'Tis the Fifteenth Season', Homer is given a valuable Joe DiMaggio rookie card and sells it for a large sum of money. After spending most of it on himself, Homer comes to repent his greedy ways while watching 'A Christmas Carol' on TV.

There is no real reason to put these 2 particular DVDs together, but they're filled with great episodes, and it is cheaper to buy them like this then seperately.
Disc 1 - Simpsons Christmas 2, Contains the episodes: 'Homer vs. Dignity', 'Skinner's Sense of Snow' 'Dude, Where's my Ranch?' and 'Tis the Fifteenth Season'.
This are all good episodes, however only two of them are actually christmas episodes. The other two only barely touch the subject.
Disc 2 - On your Marks, Get Set, Doh!, Contains the episodes:
'Faith Off', 'The Homer they Fall', 'Lisa on Ice' 'Dancin' Homer', and a sports featurette (a five-minute selection of Simpsons clips featuring sports)
These episodes are also good. However, with a complete lack of extras and the fact that the episodes on both discs will eventually be on the season boxsets (two of them already are), fans will be probably want to wait. However, if you can't wait or simply dont want the boxsets, but like the simpsons, this is a good purchase for you.

This is a brilliant set of DVDs as the episodes are outstanding - I like the episode when Lisa plays as the goalie on Apu's ice hockey after getting an 'Academic Alert' for Gym (which is totally rediculous). All the other esisodes are brilliant and it is very good value.

A ABSOLOUTLEY FANTASTIC DVD MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN ALL THE OTHER CHRISTMAS SPECIALS.IT WAS TRULY GREAT AND FEATURES SOME CHRISTMAS SONGS WHICH ARE "HOMEr MADE" .ALSO WITH THE "ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET,DO'H" DVD A BRILLIANT PRICE AND WELL IT'S JUST... TERRIBLY FANTASTIC IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE WAITING ON A SHELF !
