Silver marches 11 Aug 2002
Format:Paperback
The Silver Marches is a 158 page campaign supplement by Ed Greenwood and Jarl Cox. It is an updated and greatly expanded version of Paul Jacquays Savage Frontier which previously detailed this area for 2nd Edition Dungeons & Dragons.

This handsome book is lavishly illustrated with pictures of important personalities and places in the text. The book is divided in to eight chapters. covering the history and geographic overview of the region, the unique fauna and flora of the Silver Marches,Important sites are discussed in some detail , Society,Politics in the region, famous personalities , new prestige classes, new monsters and a chapter of adventures including a suggested campaign setting.

The book is full of stimulating adventure hooks which can easily be used in other Dungeons & Dragons settings with a little work. But as a whole the Silver Marches is a good setting for anyone thinking of starting a Dungeons & Dragons campaign.

The only possible drawback is that to get full use from the material in the book you should own a copy of the Monsters Of Faerun supplement.

Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This expansion for the Forgotten Realms campaign setting details the League of the Silver Marches, the confederation of northern settlements in the region of Silverymoon. This book includes everything a DM would need to run a campaign set in the or around the Silver Marches including details of weather, monsters and Prestige Classes appropriate for the area. The book also includes statistics and descriptions of major and minor Silver Marches settlements as well as descriptions of the surrounding environments and important sights. As well as this, the book also includes information on how the politics of the Silver Marches works in addition to the troubles and enemies that could affect this region in the future. Finally the book includes a small number of ready made adventures for your party to play through. Altogether this book is a must have for anyone thinking of adventuring in the North.

Top quality source 22 Aug 2002
Format:Paperback
Excellent book, lots of information about the savage frontier and the civilised cities of the north of Faerun. Good info. especially on Silverymoon, good prestige classes that fit the area well and superb presentation.
The only possible downside is that Silverymoon could have had a similar sized book just on itself.
