This book has alot of really tasty, simple to prepare recipes. I'm a terrible cook and even I manage to put the dishes together. I bought the book in order to burn fat and get lean. I weighed 157 pounds and after two weeks I dropped 5 pounds. And thats without ever being hungry and without having to eat rabbit food all the time. It also gives a simple calculation at the beginning so you know exactly how many grams of fat, carbs and proteins you should consume each day, I found this really helpful.

The thing I like most about this book is how the recipes are separated into those that are for gaining muscle and those that are best for trying to lose weight. I also like that all the nutritional data is included too, taking away the need to work out the calories etc. for myself. I really enjoy this author's books as they are always easy to read and follow and very informative!

This is a great book for jazzing up what can be a life of chicken, broccoli and rice. I have tried a few recipes, the curried potato and cauliflower is delicious. Easy to follow recipes which turn out as they should. If you are in training and are struggling with your choice of meals this is a great book to make eating a pleasure.

Really...no pics!?

I understand its about the meals and what they do but god damn is it boring to look at. Black and white text and.....thats it literally.

I would of happily paid an extra few pounds for this book knowing it had pics.

I like to see what my food is going to look like and thought this was a pretty obvious thing in a recipe book.

I could of probably printed this off the printer.

Im going to keep it though and try a few recipes.

This book is very helpful and the title says it all.

The only remark I had was that some of the meals are high in calories 600 and more. This, however, made sense when I read Mike's other book Bigger Lean And Stronger (which is great book by the way), in that book bulking is one of the strategies that you might need to do in order to gain muscles.

For me, since lossint fat is my main goal, i use mainly the 400 calories and kess meals, which are many recipes, I also tweak the high calories ones to make them within the 400 calories mark.

In short regardless of your goal (shredding and losing fat or bulking and gaining muscles) this book helsps you get there in a delecious way :)

...as they are in cups, not lbs and ounces or kg and milligrams as they're American recipes. Some things are the American version of ingredients too, zucchini for example - use courgette instead. Saying that this is a great book. There are recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. These recipes are split into 2 groups, recipes for gaining weight for those who bodybuilding and recipes for losing weight which are for both bodybuilders and anyone else who needs to lose weight. That's right, food you can eat that loses weight! (With some exercise of course, they're not eat yourself thin recipes!) Worth buying if you're wanting to lose weight like me or if you're looking for better meals to fit into your training.
