Classic Moorcock, classic sci-fi 8 April 2009
By Baron Brock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Although Michael Moorcock might be best known as a writer of fantasy fiction and the Elric saga, he is a prolific writer and wrote a number of excellent sci-fi novels, this being one of them.

The Shores of Death is set in a far-future Earth where the wolrd has stopped turning on its axis, leaving one side in perpetual day and another in night, bounded by narrow twilight regions. From these regions hails Clovis Becker, the protagonist of the story. The ensuing yarn tells a tale of a doomed race of idealists seeking an answer to their plight, and of Becker's own search for immortality from a legendary scientist.

This is a truly imaginitive, vivid, and original work - highly recommended.
