A timeless, timely release to mark Shakin' Stevens comeback on TV's Hit Me Baby One More Time. Though Shaky hasn't really been away, as those fans who have seen his brilliant sell-out live shows can testify. The tireless performer has constantly been on the road keeping everyone rockin' on.
What a fantastic compilation album this is, containing 25 tracks in total from Britain's most successful singles chart star of the 80s. Re-discover the sounds of Shaky for yourself - for all the hits are here, including This Ole House, Green Door, You Drive Me Crazy, Marie Marie.
There are even a couple of songs that I hadn't heard before, including the beautiful ballad Because I Love You. Looking at the credits, I hadn't realised Shaky has written some of the hits himself - like Oh Julie and the tingly Teardrops, which has Hank Marvin's haunting guitar sound to shadow his wonderful vocal. I'd also forgotten what a fantastic singer Shaky is.
And with a bonus DVD of 12 original videos of some of the best known hits thrown in, this is well worth the asking price. This album should see Shaky in the charts again, where he truly belongs.

Great to hear such memorable songs again. Shakin' Stevens was my hero of the eighties and remains "The King Of British Rock 'N' Roll". Regardless of recent press reports I still rate him as my hero and he deserves the recognition and respect for his contribution to british chart music. I've been blessed to have seen Shaky three times in concert and boy does he rock. Welcome home Shaky!
