About the Author
Garth Nix was born in 1963 in Melbourne, Australia, to the sound of the Salvation Army band outside playing’Hail the Conquering Hero Comes’ or possibly’Roll Out the Barrel’. Garth left Melbourne at an early age for Canberra (the federal capital) and stayed there till he was nineteen, when he left to drive around the UK in a beat-up Austin with a boot full of books and a Silver-Reed typewriter. He is now an award-winning author and one of the most influential names in contemporary fantasy.

Generally I'm a very fast reader and with a good book I can read it in three hours and this was no exception. The final book in the series reunites Tal and Milla with Milla leading the assault in the castle and Tal escaping from the Hall of Nightmares. Tal sees his duty as the rightfull emperor of the chosen and with Milla, Crow, Uncle Ebbitt and of course Adras and Odris too by his side he climbs up the Seventh Tower to confront Sushin. Is this the final battle, what happens to Sharrakor? These I'll let you find out but if you need a great book to read read this one (and the others too of course!). The only complaint I have is that its over (sighs heavily). Ah well.
