Product Description

The Mayan clock stopped predicting events beyond 2012. Why did it not continue beyond that date?
Rebel archaeologist Nick Palmer experiences an almost unnoticed event at Stonehenge during the summer solstice celebration of 2011, which he attends along with hundreds of others, that worries him greatly. He is made aware through a blog, of a sinister organization known as the ‘Order’, that are seemingly bent on preventing his every move to discover the reason behind the worrying event.
During his voyage of discovery, Nick is tracked across the world by an enigmatic entity that has been trapped here on Earth for over twenty-five thousand years, awaiting the discovery of the event by what she refers to as a ‘surface-dweller’. Together with her and the few people he trusts implicitly, they set out to prevent the alarmingly inevitable catastrophic conclusion that will affect not only the Earth, but the whole Solar System’s very existence.

Jack’s latest science fiction novel is a tale told in the present day. Beside its topical theme concerning the dire events in 2012 predicted by the Mayan clock, it is also a story full of mystery and adventure in which the tortured love story of a human and an alien female gradually unfolds.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Seventh Age by Jack Eason 8 Sep 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The Seventh Age is under the sci/fi banner.
Yes, it does have some element of this genre
but I feel it as an adventure as well. I liked the
way the book started off. The writing was
polished and the setting appealed to me. Then
the hero went travelling around the world trying to
overturn the world's collapse but the hero,
Nick and his compadres, are sought after by the
mysterious Order. The author has put in
a lot of research here as we are informed of
places and towns, countries and modes of transport
that are included in this work. We cannot doubt these
Places exist. The story has some comedic elements
so a chuckle here and there is gained. One baddie,
you have to have one main baddie, don't you seems
o have the upper hand at times? Will he win?
Read this interesting book and find out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Epic Archaeological Adventure 12 April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
The Seventh Age is the book to read if you like archaeological mysteries mixed with the supernatural and SciFi, and it never hurts to throw in an evil religious cult either. Jack Eason's knowledge of archaeology and ancient mysteries shines through in this book so relevant in the year 2012. I highly recommend this book.

I did enjoy the all the adventures the characters got up to, but it was too far fetched to be truly entertaining. Do these people not have the internet? or mobile phones? or Skype? Read more

Good read. It can be a bit repetitive when the 'hero' is looking for the sites in his quest, but OK for reading in your lunch hour. Read more

Surely written for children?

I generally enjoy this genre but there is no depth to the characters and it stretches credulity to the limit and well beyond. Read more
