5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly fun Bible stories for kids! 12 May 2004
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Ever wondered why Bible stories lack life for kids in the re-telling? Do they seem to pale in comparison to other stories that the world offers them?

Enter Mike Thaler (known for his " ---- (teacher, principal, etc) from the Black Lagoon" kids series. This book (along with all of the other Thaler Christian books for kids) is such fun your kids will beg for more. The way these are written, the kids enjoy them and get the Biblical message and we parents can also enjoy them at another level. Thaler is very specific about the liberties he takes to make these stories fun (these are not translations of Bible stories, but are more like interpretations). Each story has a "moral" and each has a scriptural reference to where you can find the REAL account in the Bible.

The way these stories are told make them so fun, my kids can't wait to read and re-read them. We have all 9 of the original books and all 4 (I think) of these collection books.

Thaler is Christian, but many of the books are solely old testament and would probably be acceptable for those faiths that do not embrace the New Testament also.

My kids are very bright 9 and 11 and the level is fine for them. I offer you an unqualified, enthusiastic, recommendation to buy these!
