Product Description

Review

"Perfect for reading on a dull, wet day, it's impossible not to feel one's mood being elevated and enhanced by always bright - sometimes brash - poetic offerings... A pant-astically absorbing collection of new poems to pamper oneself with... Primarily a fun book to read, this serves as an excellent introduction to poetry." Achuka Reviews (11th September 2006) "This will make you chuckle out loud!" Kraze Club (Autumn 2006) "These poems and riddles are great for dipping into." TBK Magazine (November/December 2006) "If you prefer poetry to stories I strongly recommend you get a copy of The Secret Life of Pants, a really great collection of rhymes and riddles." Alternative Kidz (December 2006)

Product Description

Poet and anthologist Roger Stevens has put together a book of brand new poems to make you squeam, squirm and laugh out loud. These poems about pants (and other things besides) are grouped under five themed chapters - poems to make you laugh, to drive you mad, to make you sick , to scare you, and thoughtful/serious or sad poems - and are in a wide variety of genres and styles, from haiku and limericks, to sonnets and sestinas. And with a title containing the magic 'p' word, how can kids resist...?

Very funny 22 July 2011
By CB
Format:Paperback
Just a very funny book for children, with some more serious poems thrown in for good measure. The reference to pants is presumably to encourage children, particularly boys, to read it. Happily it's not full of smut! And they won't need much persuading once they've tried one or two of the poems.
