Review

This is a fascinating and profound path. --Christopher Day, eco architect and author of Places of the Soul

Architect Lindsay Halton has produced an imaginative, transformative and alchemical work. Physical aspects of our homes are much deeper reflections of our spiritual lives and paths. The Secret of Home will enable us to view our home through the theatre of our Soul, to reassess our life's journey and consider our choices in profound and perhaps novel ways. --Dr. Sandra Goodman, Ph.D. Editor and Director of Positive Health

5.0 out of 5 stars Home is a mirror of self... 24 Oct 2008
Format:Paperback
...Whatever you say about your house, you say about yourself. Mine was "cramped and enclosed", others might say "it's divided" or "incomplete" or even "it's comfortable" or "sunny".

Lindsay Halton in "The Secret of Home" shows us how our homes can be a blueprint for our lives.

With elements of the I Ching, Feng Shui along with Celtic influences, I found this book to be remarkable in showing you how to work through areas of your home and at the same time learn about yourself and your life.

You home is a map and you can read it just as you can any map. Lindsay Halton shows you how to read the language of your home, and how to understand the symbols. Using the glass runes and a simple map of your house you tap into aspects of your home that were perhaps hidden from you, and in doing so gain a better perspective of your life.

Through reading and consulting "The Secret of Home" I now know my home and myself in more depth and through this knowledge I am now making improvements within my whole life. Wonderful!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Reading for everyone 17 Nov 2008
Format:Paperback
The Secret of Home was a revelation to me. I'm not a person who normally has any interest in 'hippy' type books, however this really is for everyone who wants to improve their way of life. It's incredibly easy reading, fun to read, but at the same time takes you deep into what is happening in your life and helps you find ways to improve it.
Great read, great results!

4.0 out of 5 stars What is your home telling you??? 31 Jan 2009
Format:Paperback
This is an excerpt from the full review published in Light magazine..

The Secret Of Home expands on the concept of holism, by offering the view that our homes are a major influence on us in our everyday lives. Underlined by the ancient art of Feng Shui, this book highlights the power of placement and flow within the home from a new perspective. It invites us to take a closer look at the way we live, using the home as if it were a map, or even a book, that illustrates all the different aspects of our lives. Linsay Halton believes specific areas in the home, mirror what's happening in certain areas of life, and using this knowledge we are empowered to make helpful changes in both.

He also offers readers a view that the way we, as individuals, actually feel about different areas of our own homes, has a direct relationship on how we experience aspects of our lives. He suggests that even the hidden things within the home, such as writing on the back of pictures and such like, have messages for us and are in some way influencing our lifestyle.

If you would like to hear my interview with the author Linsay Halton about this fascinating concept you can listen in on Feed Your Mind Change Your Life on my spirit radio dot com in association with O-books.
