I am convinced this book is making my life, both professional and personal, better. I hold down a couple of jobs, both high-stress, and I needed to "find myself" as they say, I needed to re-focus and prioritise. My brother told me about The Secret Art of Self-Development: 16 little-known rules for eternal happiness & freedom. The first thing you should know is that this is not some "fluff" pamphlet disguised as an eBook. This is jam-packed full of information, not just 16 little tips but 150 or more pages of what true self-development really is. Happiness and success both are often achieved together, and isn't that the point? You don't want to be successful and grumpy. Here, Karl Moore gives you the inner-secrets to be both, starting with a BIG kick in the pants that some of us (maybe just me!) really needed because I was feeling sorry for myself and that was a lot of my problem. I learned from Karl that self-deception is what hinders self-improvement more than anything. I was able to free myself from a lot of baggage and it is paying off both at home and at my two jobs. If you are stressed or even better, if you just feel as though you can't move forward, this book might be the best investment in yourself you ever make! HIGHLY recommended.

Very powerful! 18 Nov 2011

Very powerful information written in an easy-to-read style of writing. The author has a very intelligent manner in which he writes a book that is worth reading more than just one time.

Each pep talk given by the author is really something special. I have a couple that are my favorite that I've already read again. A must-read for all, you will not be disappointed!

This book is a must own in my opinion for anyone looking to improve their mental attitude and way of life. I actually printed out the table of contents, just so I look at it every day as a reminder and a kind of "Golden Rules" to try to follow on a daily basis. You can tell that Karl Moore is a "tell it like it is" type of guy when it comes to his self development teachings, which is definitely needed this day in age. This book is a true wake-up call that will get you moving in a positive direction in my opinion. I recommend keeping this book handy and starting your day off by skimming through it until these rules embedded into your brain and practicing them becomes second nature to you.
