Format:Mass Market Paperback
This was less consistently funny than the first one in this series (that was truly excellent and a lot to live up to). However it is still well worth reading for those who like their fantasy fiction slightly dark, adult and humourous. Some of the images it engenders are *very* funny but for the sake of those who haven't read it yet (other reviewers please take note) I won't spoil it by telling you what they were.

An excellent follow up to the first Keeper book. There is no doubt that Tanya Huff owns and loves cats, but she can also tell a great story ! There is some exceptionally funny bits in this book (the pigeons and the police had me in tears of laughter) but its a lot more than just a comedy. It has echoes of Circle of Darkness Cirlce of Light, but with a lighter mood.
A thoroughly enjoyable read, funny, feel good, lighthearted. I guess we must have a follow-up with Diana and her cat - please !

I was delighted to find a new Keeper book,I hope there will be more. Excellent characters and a great story. Even better, it doesn't matter if you haven't read the previous book as it works just as well on its own

absolutely brill can we have more?
All I can say is I laughed out loud on many occasions, I love the characters, love this series of books and hopes she does more of them.
