Please believe it! Mykill's coming--you'd better run 15 Nov 2001

Mykill Miers' latest, "The Hitchcock of Hip Hop" is a banger. This is how it should be done, a MC riding hard beats and only one guest MC in Born Allah. Here in the Illadelph, he'll get NO radio-play but I have the CD. I hate that talented artists get no shine and bum MCs are forced-fed to us on the daily. This boy is talented, so you'd better run---SISSY!
It's been a long time coming 3 Nov 2002

Mykil has always been nice, from the days when he was down with the Western Hemsifear, up till now. His Debuet album is extermely raw. This time around, I'm just not feeling him (as much) The production is mostly good, but he only worked with Diverse & DJ Revolution. He should have gotten with Alchemist or maybe a few other cats. Lyrically, Mike is nice, his problem is the content doesn't vary much. Which can be cool, but he gets repetitive. Even with his verbal abilities being well above avarage. He just sounds to monotone, I'm sure many would liken him to Xzibit. Both have a raw, raspy flow. "Bash Brothers" with "Born Allah" is beyond words. Born is another west coast emcee who will never get his propers. This cd isn't bad at all, I can't have it in heavy rotation because it gets old quick. But I can definitely pull it out once every few weeks and giving it a listen. Mykil has skills, for album #3 I hope he comes with more diverse (no pun intended) production and works a little on his hooks. Besides that he shows he has what it takes to make good songs. Don't sleep on this cat from the West!
