In his book, The Second Bounce Of The Ball, Sir Ronald Cohen eloquently reveals his fundamental rules of entrepreneurial strategy. Rather than writing another textbook that focuses on the technical details of starting a business, Cohen focuses on the core issues any leader must consider when facing such challenge. More than anything, the book reads as if you are having a one-on-one honest discussion with Cohen, in which he is answering the sort of dilemmas that every entrepreneur encounters. For those of us who are not fortunate enough to have direct access to someone with such vast expertise in this field, the book is an invaluable resource. As an aspiring entrepreneur, I found it to be very relevant and effective, therefore I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent book. It's not a handbook on how to become an entrepreneur, rather the author discusses the attributes one requires to be a successful entrepreneur. Anyone who has ever thought about going into business should definately read this. If you read the book, then question your own inclination to go into business, you'll definately find some very interesting answers. This book will force you think carefully, and analytically about your potential business opportunities - and just how to exploit them.

The book is like having a conversation with Cohen, that in itself is worth moret than the cost of the book. Well worth the time, and money.

This book stands out as an inspiring and insightful summary of a business career conducted at the highest level. The realism around rejection rates of business plans and the time needed to grow a credible PE business are worth noting. The variety of industries into which Sir Ronald has successfully committed capital is a testament to his hard work, keen intellect and open mind. I recommend the book unreservedly to both those with capital to invest and those who are in need of financing.
