Product Description

Amazon Review

The refurbishment of a house is often an expensive and arduous task that most people cannot afford to do very often. The Seasonal Home offers many creative ideas on how to successfully change the theme and look of any room in the house by using practical and inexpensive ideas that really work. Kristin Perers has worked with fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Giorgio Armani and uses these experiences to set out her fashion guide for the home. Beautiful photographs by James Merrell show before and after views of the same room done in different themes. Ideas on colour, fabrics, furniture and accessories are described. The use of nature and its changing moods has always been a way to express artistic emotions and this delightful book offers tantalising, refreshing and affordable inspirations.

About the Author

Kristin Perers is a lifestyle and homes stylist, working for magazines such as Elle Decoration and Homes & Gardens.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Visual Feast! 10 May 2009
Format:Hardcover
I love books that provide inspiration through visual images and this book certainly does that. The ideas, the colours, the little touches draw you into a different place and give you the freedom to think about your own space in new ways. It's not just about how you can re-vamp tired rooms it is about re-vamping your approach to living and the kind of space you need to do that. Open up new ideas and new feelings about your home and how you live in it with this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Inspiration Now 22 April 2009
Format:Hardcover
I grew up in the country but live in a big city and I love this book.
I was inspired to put these ideas to use for not much money, which is needed
more now than ever. The author has a special touch, and more unusual than your typical decorating books. I'd love to know more about her and what her own home is like!

In a culture where you can buy strawberries year-round, we have generally lost touch with the changes of season. Here is a book offering simple and effective ways to bring our attention back to the shifting inspirations of nature. I highly reccommend this book to anyone who loves the leaves of Autumn as much as the earliest blooms of Spring.
