Having read all the Change novels I was really looking forward to this one. I enjoyed it but found that it seemed a bit slower than previous novels and possibly gave away the final storyline. HoweverI doubt that and expect a surprise twist when we finally reach the end of the tale. I look forward to the next volume.

The only reason this review has only 4 stars is that Mr Stirling has written better but this is still very good indeed, fast-paced adventure that keeps you reading, well written and completely visualised concept and characters.

er well there you go then just proves that not every book a writer puts out is as good as expected, this one was not the blockbuster i had hoped for in fact i thought it was a bit dull and samey, the story seems to limp along from set piece to set piece and never seems to have to impact of the other books mr stirling has done in the series maybe the sword of the lady will pick the torch up and wave it about a bit better than this one did
