Format:Mass Market Paperback
This story is one that will stay with you for a long time. The plot is one that moves from the dismal home of the vicar to the wild hills of Scotland and back again, never looseing the pace. The characters are wonderful and imaginable, while encompassing the former characters of the vicar's family, the Sherbrookes. It is a delight to see Douglas, Sinjun, and all the others arrive to meddle just as they did before. But no amount of meddling can change a man as love does for the impervious vicar. I recommend this book to anyone that has read the Hellion Bride, Heiress Bride and Sherbrooke Bride, it is a wonderful conclusion to the family's portrait. But also to anyone who has not, this book is one that can be read before or after the others, but I promise you that you will become hooked on the Sherbrookes.

My Favorite Bride Book

This is by far my favorite Bride book. I loved how Tysen and Mary Rose came together. They came together through love and respect. Tysen goes from stern to relaxed to stern then to relaxed again. It made his character believable especially all the pressures he was under. Mary Rose was so nice to read about, she wasn't a scared out of her mind person. She knew what had to be done and got it done. They came to love each other and when they married Tysen didn't have to resort to rape to have her. Bravo!!! I respect and love him for that and his moral/ethics of how to treat a person. Meggie is absolutely a kind and devout child. She wasn't smart-alecky or annoying. She truly cared for her father didn't want him hurt. Her brothers Max and Leo were awesome too. They instantly took to their new mother with little hesitation. I don't care what anyone else has said of this book, I really enjoyed it because it was a true romance. There was no show of domination from Tysen and Mary Rose was without fear of him because of it. Truly to me a great read.

Not up to Coulter Standard

OK. So you always here that sequels are never quite as good as the originals, but Coulter has proved that theory wrong before... what happened? As the fourth book in the Bride Trilogy, I was looking forward to the usual clever dialog and catchy story line Coulter provides in most of her books. I waited and waited but it never got going. Tysen and Mary Rose are nice people but there is no story in that! Neither one is very witty, in fact, their personalities are really weak. The best parts of the book involved Tysen's three outrageous children. Most of Coulter's books I read at one time, I physically cannot put her books down once I get started. This one took me three days to read. I don't regret reading it, it was great to hear from Douglas, Alex, Ryder, Sophie, Colin, and Sinjun. I hope that readers who have never picked up a Coulter book will not choose this as their first. For those who have read her books before you are probably like me in that you can't help but read her newest release.

Delightful, fun, pure escape

Whenever I buy something from Amazon I always check the customer reviews as I have found them very helpful. That's why I was so surprised to see some of the reviews for this book that were so negative - a waste of time, etc. What do these readers expect? This is not Pulitzer Prize winning fiction. These books are what I call "bodice busters" and they're meant to be fun. That's exactly what they are. I've read all the heavy books I want to and still do on occasion. But mostly, when I read a novel, I want to be entertained and that's exactly what Catherine Coulter does. So for my money the book was well worth it. It passed the time, kept me interested and it was total escape. Bravo Ms. Coulter, keep em coming!
