"...The Scientist has a combination of interesting, new discoveries and also these provocative stories that people sort of discuss but never seem to get investigated. It has a biting edge to it. I like that."

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Magazine for Life Scientists 27 Mar. 2012
By Bob Kay - Published on
The Scientist is a unique publication focused on Life Science researchers, their journey and their voice. Most importantly it is a resource where Scientists can keep up to date on the latest related research outside of their field of work - yet relevent to what they are doing. It is educational and entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very high quality magazine for scientists 4 April 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on
This magazine is not like Discover or Popular Science. It is aimed at people with academic backgrounds, meaning it is especially worthwhile for researchers and students, yet it is just as exciting and well written as Discover or Popular Science. This is my favorite science magazine by far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful read as a young scientist 22 May 2014
By Michael - Published on
I'm currently an undergraduate student in Biochemistry and I found the scientific articles and profiles of scientists both intriguing and engaging. The formatting could have used a bit of work, as it was sometimes a bit odd to look through, but overall quite wonderful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent but wider range of topics would be nicer 29 Mar. 2014

Well written, expert communication of the topics covered. However, it was very biased towards life science topics rather than a sampling of a wide range of topics as they advertise to be. Worth trying once or twice, and see if it is your flavour!

1.0 out of 5 stars Print too small 9 Oct. 2014
By Jeanne Greenfield - Published on
As far as I could tell this is a magazine I would like to read. The Kindle edition (I ordered the free issue) had print so small I would have had to use a magnifying glass. Pressing the Aa did not work.
