We LOVE Debi Giliori books in our house and although the illustrations are as sumptuous as usual, the story was a let down. I was not crazy about it but the acid test were the kids who have avoided it.

I bought this for a five-year-old who is sometimes scared by quite ordinary things. I read the story to him and while he was happy to listen I was disappointed! I thought that rather than being dismissed as a rumbling stomach in the end the scary things could have been explained in a much more informative way.
