Not just period advertising the HP sauce book contains some 40 truly excellent recipes which are based around adding a zing or starting with the zing that is HP!
I suppose the simplest way to put it is the following ..."We all know how a simple squirt of Tomatoe sauce into mayonnaise creates a wonderful Marie rose / seafood sauce for a prawn dip, well HP go's beyond,..way beyond this with some excellently researched & great tasting bits & bobs to really sink your teeth & tasebuds into..
such as..
Couscous stuffed peppers
Grilled tuna with HP lime marinade
Bacon & sweetcorn fritters
Slow cooked Belly of BBQ pork (start here with this one is my advice).
Welsh rarebit (the HP way)
HP king Duck
Deep vegetable & HP pie
Cheesey tortillas & ratatouile
Singapore peanut noodles
HP steak & mushroom Jackets
Maple HP rib chops (another favorite of mine)
Beef on the bone with chop house butter,
Kebabs
Shepherds Pie
Mexican beef & bean wrap
Tagines, roast chicken, venison, sea-food, etc etc.. ..it's not poncey it's delicious!
& lots more, the message is don't think of piling on the HP last after cooking add it first whilst cooking!
To be honest I was initially bought the marmite cookbook as a joke (everyone who knows me is aware of my interest in advertising, & it has snowballed since then, I we also use the Marmite & golden syrup books, so if you like one you'll really appreciate the others, good solid tastes from legendary brands which you'll find in even the barest of cupboards!
Recommended.
The results ..well as a HP fan ...what else but "YUM" !!!
