This book is very "american" in its approach. It goes big on the possitive mental attitude which is unfortunate as the content is sound.
Plenty of common sense tips and some good lessons...but don't expect any new insights or miracle cures.

Excellent book, a must have starting point for anyone looking to develop her/his sales skills. A pleasant read with a lot of humor but also proven truths about selling effectively and bettering yourself in general.

I'm a salesman and not a rocket scientist. I have to admit to not being very much of a reader. A newspaper and the occasional sports biography is about as far as I can manage without getting bored.

This book is laid out in a simple and easy to follow format that can be picked up, put down, picked up again without any loss of momentum. He knows how to "sell" his ideas by putting everything in short punchy paragraphs that give the biggest possible impact.

Yes, the material in most sales books is all very much the same. But isn't that essential true of sales in general. There isn't anything new or any tricks that we don't know, it's all essentially been said before, but this book makes it clear and enjoyable to follow.

If you've owned and read any sales books before and you're anything like me you might find that it's difficult to go back to that book after the initial read to follow up on what you read or brush up on some forgotten skill. This book allows you to do just that.

Highly recommended, even if the whole 10.5 reasons thing does get a bit annoying after a while.

P.S. I didn't read any other reviews so if I'm treading old ground I apologize.

This book is superb - all very common sense, very easy read, and very simple - exactly what you need as it makes you realise all the simple things that you should be doing. Jeffrey's approach to sales is useful to all salespeople and I thoroughly recommend this!

Jeff tells it straight. It's different from the sales books of its time because it offers a softer more intelligent approach to selling. It's perfect for reading on a plane. That's how I read it first. Still relevant.

Format: Paperback
This comprehensive catalogue of sales tips, maxims and never-to-be-forgotten rules of thumb should be on every salesperson’s desk. The author’s advice on selling in a down economy is particularly useful. In fact, all that he has to say reduces to three or four core messages, repeated in a variety of modes and keys throughout the book. But these principles bear repeating, and it may be that one formulation will miss, while another will hit the mark. The author’s relentless optimism, boosterism and cheerleading will put some readers off, but those readers probably won’t be salespeople, who need all the encouragement they can get. We recommend this solid and useful book, and welcomes its up-beat attitude.

This book is very easy to read and has loads of great tips and checklists, covering most sales situations.

It's one sales book that I recommend to my clients.

Like all business books you only need one new idea to pay for them, this book has many.

Very practical and necessary to keep near you. I get back to this book every once in a while, just to remind myself with things like "How to make a good sales meeting".

I warmly recommend this!
