This is cracking stuff with George Sanders again taking the role of Simon Templar, assisted by Saint regulars Wendy Barrie and the ever brilliant Jonathan Hale as Inspector Fernack... The interplay between Sanders and Hale is probably at its peak here and everything zips along very pleasingly.

A brilliant entry in the series...

Suave and debonair. 31 Aug 2011
By ACB (swansea) TOP 100 REVIEWER
George Sanders was a smooth operator. His escapades as the 'Saint' and the 'Falcon' suited his style to the ground. Having been married to Zsa Zsa Gabor no doubt influenced him! Simon Templar, the Saint (ST), takes on the criminal fraternity in San Francisco having shot a potential agent of Val Travers (Wendie Barrie). Travers's father, a police inspector, implicates 'The Saint' (who has alibies). Aided by the Inspector Fernack (Jonathon Hale) eventually the 'baddie' is identified as mastermind crook Waldemann. After crossing villainous swords the film moves quickly with side-turns to a satisfactory ending. Halo intact. Good stuff.
