I have shared this book with my class of three and four year olds who were also looking at the Gingerbread man. They loved the similarities as well as the differences. The enjoyed the accompanying pictures

This is a short story, very similar to the Gingerbread Man story. It's ideal for children who are learning how to read, as it is quick and not complicated. A good short story to read on pancake day!
