This is a useful introduction to Galloway's run-walk method, with tips on developing a good strategy, drills and how to run faster with this method. However, a number of chapters seem like a commercial for his other books (including large photos of their front covers) or products and many pages contain just testimonials - interesting read perhaps, but at this price the book should have more of the technical content. If you take these chapters away, the content is fit for an article or two in a magazine, rather that a full publication. Any novice will need to invest in a more comprehensive book on running. I feel there was much more in the 'Marathon: you can do it' (2nd ed, by the same author) from a couple of years ago. This may be just a personal preference, but I do not think pictures add anything useful to the text and are just too big in the Kindle edition.

Ditto the same sort of review on this authors book on motivation - not a bad place to start if you're new to running, but expect a lot of repetition, it's quite a quick but boring read, expect a fair amount of sales plugs for his other products / books throughout. Overly complicated in parts considering the subject matter (putting one foot in front of the other), but I think having at least one of his books on your running training shelf is probably useful if you're new and unsure about running.

It proves that you don't have to be an athlete to run. Anyone can run if you follow the guidelines.

There's a lot of repetition in this book, and a lot of self-advertisement. But when you overlook that, there's a lot of really useful information, particularly with regard to "drills".
