Product Description

New cover reissue of Book Two of the classic ELENIUM trilogy, by the greatest living fantasy writer. The quest for the jewel of life continues.

Ehlana, the young Queen of Elenia, clings to life by a thread, preserved within a crystalline tomb conjured by the sorceress Sephrenia. But there’s a price to pay – twelve Pandion Knights must sacrifice their lives to keep her alive for just one year.

Only one thing is powerful enough to save Ehlana: the Bhelliom, an exquisite and magical jewel that has been lost for centuries. Sparhawk, the Queen’s Champion, and his band of allies must set off on a perilous quest to locate the precious stone. But the evil God Azash has plans for it himself…

The second of the Sparhawk books is epic fantasy at its best.

A must read! 29 July 2000
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This book is a brilliant sequel to The Diamond Throne and carries on the story well. David Eddings has a unique style of writing which is both easy and fun to read. So far I have read almost all of David Eddings' books and enjoyed them all, however the Elenium and the Tamuli are my favourite series possibly because I read them before I read the Belgariad and the Mallorean. I'd recommend this book to anyone, not just Eddings fans and I would also suggest that you try all of his other books.

Happy reading!

This is great follow-up to the Diamond Throne, read it ages ago, but going through his trilogies again as part of my 'much loved' books. Love his style and ability to describe characters. Coincidently, does anyone know when this book will be available on Kindle?

A must have for any Eddings fan. Easy reading, likable characters. Highly addictive, with three books available in the Elenium you don't feel you are rushed through the story.

Inconsistent, rushed and disappointing
Many years ago I enjoyed the Belgeriad books (glossing over the "nicey, nicey" sentimental vomit bits) - so looking for a light escapist read I bought this trilogy to read over the... Read more

Disappointing
Having thoroughly enjoyed The Redemption of Althalus as well as the Belgariad, the Malloreon and all related books, I was hoping that I'd be similarly delighted by the Elenium. Read more

At times infuriating, but consistantly engrossing...
