I watched it on BBC One on the Royal Wedding day live and I find the editing was good and so is the quality of it. That is why I chose to buy BBC's rather than buying ITV's version which I have not seen but a pound cheaper. However, I am quite disappointed with the quality of the video when I watched the DVD. Imagery was not clear as if it was downloaded from youtube or home recorded.
I personally think BBC should provide the best quality version as I bought the DVD hoping to be able to keep a piece of Britain's history thus surely I want it to be of good quality so that I can keep it for years.
Anyway I've bought it, maybe I'll try ITV's one.

Format:DVD
A beautiful record of a wonderful day.
The build-up is a little too slow and we didn't really need to see any presenters. I would have liked the BBC to have included William and Harry saluting the Cenotaph on the way to the Abbey and more wide angle shots of the Mall, during the balcony appearance.
It was great to see the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight but where were the Red Arrows?
Perhaps we are now down to one Red Arrow because of government spending cuts?
Finally, the coverage ended rather abruptly without showing the Aston, or Prince William's colleagues in the helicopter.
Some of the best imagery on the day was on SKY but the choice of commercial DVD is between BBC and ITV.
I might get the ITV version just to see how the coverage of the day differs.

Having spent the whole Royal Wedding day with like-minded friends,I was always going to want "the DVD!"
One of the main reasons was the music. I love the whole church music sound, particularly when performed in a great cathedral.
I found that Amazon gave me the best choice and the opportunity to select the best price!
On the day, we all agreed that the BBC coverage would be our choice and this DVD is compiled from that coverage. Over the years, I have found the BBC to be the best at Royal, National and Ceremonial events and, for me, this was no different.
The DVD is well put together and of excellent quality and I would recommend it unreservedly.

William & Kate make it to America
This Dvd was sent as a gift to my neice in America and she was delighted with the BBC commentry. I beleive it has hours of beautiful footage of the Royal Wedding.

The Royal Wedding DVD
The DVD was first-rate. It included extra tracks of the Royal Engagement also and represented excellent value for money. As ever the service from Amazon was impeccable.

The Royal Wedding-William & Catherine (BBC) (DVD)
My sister was abroad when the event took place & rather than send her a homemade recording I purchased this DVD as it contained purely the highlights. She was delighted with it.

Missing coverage
Assuming that the majority of viewers of this video will be women there was very little coverage of the guests arriving or identification of them as they walked to their seats. Read more
