5.0 out of 5 stars Royal Line of Succession 18 Nov 2010
Format:Paperback
Useful little book; tells a non-historian all he needs to know about the subject and answers all those questions about who was on the throne when and how?

4.0 out of 5 stars Gives a good overview of each House 21 July 2011
By Diane - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book gives a good overview of each of the Houses. The only two issues I have are 1) it would be nice to have some explanation of what the blue and red lines mean on the charts and 2)some of the charts have so much information that it would have been nice for the chart to be spread over two pages vs. consolidating it all on to one page making it hard to read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating reference of the royal line.... 13 Oct 2012
By Colleen M. Schneider - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I purchased this book at the Tower of London while on vacation as it sometimes can be quite confusing keeping all of the various monarchs straight. I found that I picked up the book quite a lot to remember the succession and of the various houses, which helped to make my trip even more enjoyable, when, after a day of touring we could reference back to make sure we understood how everyone fit into the picture. It is a book that is easy to read, endlessly fascinating and a great reference to how the monarchy evolved. I would definitely recommend to anyone that is interested in British history or who may want to read up before visiting some of the most historic sites that relate to the monarchy on your trip to Great Britain. A well put together book and a wealth of information in just 32 pages filled with pictures and additional history in addition to the family tree of each house. There are other books in this series and I would definitely watch for the Pitkin guides again for a handy, slim reference that also made a nice souvenir of our travels.
