As we've just bought an iPad, we bought this book to help with anything we might want to know about it and how to use it. The first few chapters are taken up with the whys and wherefore of buying the iPad, but getting past that, there's plenty useful information in the book. Certainly useful given the playing card size instructions that come with the iPad itself!

Not a vital tool maybe, but definitely worth having if you're an iPad newbie.

i don't yet own an ipad, so bought this to see what I was missing. almost convinced, but not totally. Wouldn't mind if i got one for christmas, though. As the heading says, I found the publication very useful and informative, despite its american bias, and, if I should dive in, it will be an essential aid to my understanding.

The public library introduced me to all kinds of books about the iPad but I decided to buy this one (along with Portable Genius) because it is practical, straightforward, pitched about right between too basic and too technical, compact and not gushy, helpful without being patronising; that is, in the general style of Rough Guides.

Particularly appealing with this book is that it is written by a British author with a sympathetic point of view and specific references here and there to UK contexts. Yet the book would be just as applicable in the USA or anywhere else.

I find this very helpful. It doesn't have everything in it, but is certainly one to own. I would definitely recommend this product.
