Rough Guide to Prague not very user-friendly

Two years ago, I purchased the Rough Guide to Greece but needed only the chapter on the Peloponnese, which I found very, very helpful. Based on this positive experience, I purchased the Rough Guide to Prague for an upcoming trip. Unfortunately, it is less than optimal. With some exceptions, the index (alpha listing) identifies noteworthy locations and buildings only with their Czech names, which makes "pick and choose" very difficult. This also applies to many chapter headings and to the maps (including the transport system map).

I had several different guides with me in Prague and initially I carried all of the in my bag while exploring. Gradually I filtered out the most useful one and that was the Rough. I didn't have an opportunity to try its transportation recommendations much because one is supposed to explore the old part of town on foot. I took a tram ride a few times and that was spot on, but perhaps other transportation means aren't covered well - I don't know. I do know though that the descriptions of all historic places and maps are really good. I had no problem figuring out where I am, what I am looking at and why that thing is so interesting. I also had no problem creating routes through the places I want to see and following these routes afterwards. Highly recommended.
