This was a great buy for the 4 days that I spent in Paris with my new husband. We were on a rather tight budget, so using this book we were able to plan where to go and what to see and how much it would all cost. There also are great tips for food, thanks to this book, we found the best bakery, great restuarants and it took us out of the tourist areas and we got to see more than we could have without it.

I will certainly buy another rough guide book for my next trip!

Brought 3 guide books with us to Paris and this was by far the most useful! Good options for cafés and restaurants in each area, and really interesting and useful info on attractions and local areas. Would buy other 'rough guides' and will bring this one with me again next time I go to Paris!

We went to Paris for 4 days and couldn't have done without this super book.

The guide is separated into each area of the city, detailing places to go, restaurants, shops, museums etc for each area. The author gives detailed information throughout, including the opening times of all major attractions which proved invaluable, especially when trying the plan our day. We found we used it all of the time to decide where to go and how to get there, and it is small enough to keep in your bag when out and about.

There are some handy maps at the back of the book which are referenced throughout the book, so we easily found the places we wanted to go. There is also a copy of the Metro map so we never got lost on the trains either!

You will not need any other guides for your trip, this has it all. Highly recommended.

This was very useful on a 4 day trip to paris. Buying tickets and hints on where tourist traps were very useful and found that these were exactly true. Anyway we were not very impressed with the maps at the end. would have been usful to have a pop up map rather than a page. For a short trip this alone would be enough as a guide in paris.

I've used Rough Guides before, and so thought that this "Mini" Rough Guide would be a good option for a "mini" trip to Paris.

Unfortunately, I found that the book is illogically organised, and the maps (perhaps the most important bit of a guidebook) were too small, both in print size and in area covered.

The most frustrating thing about the book was the fact that the pages quickly started falling out - the quality of the binding of this book is very poor (and I note that other reviewers have had the same problem).

If you intend to stuff a guide book in your pocket to find things as you wander round, this isn't the one to choose, as:
1) It will fall apart
2) The book isn't organised by location (so can't easily see "What's round here?"
3) Chances are that you'll be off the edge of the map anyway, unless you're in very central Paris

It might be useful if you want to use it at home to plan what to do when you get to Paris - but if that's your intention, why buy a "Mini" guide? You'd get more and better information with a full size product.

This book is a useful aid to your visit to Paris. I chose to read the article before the visit to an attraction as this book gives a lot of hidden explanations. It is pocket sized but quite thick . lots of maps and guides and entry prices which is invaluable. The book did start to come away at the seams as the week went by.

Compact and enough for a short break as we have just taken. Fits in bag easily. Some info out of date like Musee Rodin opening times but mainly accurate. Same problem as everyone else, the maps at the back fell out far too easily, ours didn't even make it off Eurostar before they came loose. VEry annoying when getting the book out to check things as they fall out all the time. However it wouldn't put me off buying as the info is great.
