VERY rough 12 May 2007

It's ok. I've used it for a Spanish Civilization course. But if you're looking for a good example of folías or seguidillas or zarzuela--you'll be hard pressed to find it here. This is more a selection of some lesser known contemporary artists giving a VERY personal rendition of world music versions of Spanish folk music, and most is very difficult to recognize as such. But it is a good listen. Just don't expect it to be a Guide to Spanish Music, as if it were an introduction to Spanish "música folklórica."
